- Energy efficient heating through the use of heat reclaim from both the steam and heating boilers. This provides not only a savings in the quantity of fuel consumed but also a reduction in flue emissions.
- Demand control ventilation was utilized to reduce the quantity of outside air when the building is lightly occupied.
- Fan powered boxes have been used to promote improved indoor air quality since the fan powered boxes operate on a constant air flow rate while reducing the energy since the main AHU fans do not need to operate a full capacity during part load conditions.
- N+1 redundancy in the dedicated server room.
- NC-25 acoustic rating in the council chamber and court rooms and NC-30 in the offices.
